Cons
The main con for this chiller is the time it takes to chill the water.
- Chilling Time: it takes about 4-6 hours to chill water from 15°C to 3°C, but this is similar to other chillers in this price range.
User experience
Overall, I had a really great experience in the Frozen Oasis ice bath. Some of the highlights include:
- Ease of Setup: It was easy to inflate the tub and connect the chiller. It’s also easy to pack away.
- Convenient Phone app: The phone app is really great and made it easy to adjust the current temperature and flow rate. You can also adjust a number of settings including temperature deviation (how far off the set temperature you’re happy for it to deviate. For example, if you set it to 1C deviation with a target temperature of 5C, it means the chiller will keep the water between 4C and 6C enabling it preserve power compared to no deviation.
- Access to tap and drainage: Like with any ice bath you need easy access to a tap, hose and drain so location is important to think about where you place it for ease of use.
… and most importantly talk about that dopamine hit!
- The real magic happened during the ice bath itself. I loved the full-body coverage which provided me with a deeply invigorating sensation. Meanwhile the dopamine hit left me feeling rejuvenated, whilst enhancing my mood, mental state, and energy levels.
The ice bath experience exceeded my expectations in terms of setup, functionality, and overall satisfaction. It's not just a cold plunge — it's a holistic wellness solution that I wholeheartedly recommend.
